"Baltar's Escape" is the eighteenth episode of season one of the science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica. It is the twenty-first episode of the series overall, if one counts the pilot movie as three separate episodes. It was directed by Winrich Kolbe with a script written by Donald Bellisario. It first aired on ABC on March 11th, 1979. The captured Eastern Alliance crew (from "Greetings from Earth"), Baltar and the Borellian Nomen (from "The Man with Nine Lives") escape the Colonial Prison Barge and proceed to capture the Council of the Twelve, Boomer and Sheba. A dangerous rescue mission is formed by Apollo and Starbuck.
