"Part One" is the first episode of the Battlestar Galactica miniseries event, which serves as a remake of the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica series and is the precursor to the regular Battlestar Galactica series, which first airs in 2005. This episode was directed by Michael Rymer with a script written by Ronald D. Moore and Christopher Eric James. It first aired on the Sci-Fi Channel on December 8th, 2003.
