History[]

In 20 BBY, Darth Sidious became concerned that Force user Asajj Ventress, who was a student of his co-conspirator Count Dooku was becoming too powerful. Fearing that Dooku might use Ventress to make a power play against him, he instructed Dooku to have her eliminated. Dooku sent General Grievous and his Separatist forces to Dathomir to elminate Ventress, who had at this point, had become one of the Nightsisters.

General Grievous began with an orbital assault using Vulture-class starfighters and droid bombers to bomb the Nightsisters' sanctuary to force them out in the open. Afterward, they began a land assault, which included squads of B1 battle droids, B2 super battle droids, and IG-100 MagnaGuards. The Nightsisters defended themselves by using the Chant of Resurrection, to raise an Army of the Dead. Grievous' forces succeeded in killing the Dathomirian witch Daka, whose magic had been used to develop their undead army.

General Grievous' goal was to commit genocide against the Nightsisters. Grievous personally fought against the Nightsisters, slaying a Dathomorian named Selena. Selena's daughter, Morgan Elsbeth, managed to escape. Swearing vengeance against the Confederacy, Morgan ultimately joined the Galactic Republic during the time when it had been re-organized as the First Galactic Empire.
