- This issue is UPC barcode number 761941200057 71311.
- This is the final issue of the series under its regular title. Following this volume all DC Comics titles go through a company-wide reboot as a result of the "Flashpoint" storyline. The continuity that emerges as a result of this is called the New 52. Batman stories continue in the rebooted titles Batman, Volume 2, and Detective Comics, Volume 2.
- The flashback scene involving the death of Jason Todd originally took place in Batman #428 from December, 1988.
- The three boys in this issue, Bill, Bob & Jerry, are named after the original Batman creators, writer Bill Finger, artist Bob Kane, and inker Jerry Robinson.
- Despite this being the final issues of a series that has been in publication since 1940, Batman actually only appears in flashback.
