"The Ogg and I" is the eighth episode of season three of the live-action superhero fantasy series Batman. The episode was directed by Oscar Rudolph with a script written by Stanford Sherman. It first aired on ABC on November 2nd, 1967.

Synopsis[]

Egghead and his consort Olga kidnap Commissioner Gordon and whisk him away in a hot air balloon. Egghead later calls Gotham City Police Headquarters to make his ransom demand. Batman answers the line and he demands .10 cents for every egg eaten in Gotham City.

  • Commissioner Gordon wears a particular brand of cologne made in Sumatra, which carries a very pungent odor. It is called Wellington No. 4.

  • The name of the food server at the diner is Gilligan. He is played by Alan Hale, Jr., who is best known for actually playing the role of the Skipper on sitcom series Gilligan's Island.
