The Batboat is, well... a boat. It goes in the water, zips around and is useful for carting Batman and whatever sidekick is attending him at the time across Gotham River. Batman actually owns several such vessels, which he keeps docked inside of a water tributary inside the batcave. He also has other models moored at different ports throughout Gotham City. Most versions of the Batboat are models of speedboat, that can only accomadate a driver and one passenger, usually Robin.
During the time that Bruce Wayne was incapacitated due to a crippling injury, usage of the Batboat was passed along to Jean-Paul Valley. Dick Grayson and Tim Drake also made use of the Batboat for a brief period when Dick assumed the identity of Batman.
