Barry Lockridge is a central character featured in the 1960s-1970s television series Land of the Giants. Played by actor Stefan Arngrim, the character was introduced in the pilot episode, "The Crash" and has appeared in forty-seven episodes of the series.
Biography[]
Barry Lockridge was the orphan son of a Marine Lieutenant Colonel. On June 12th, 1983, Barry and his pet dog boarded Flight 612 to London, England to stay with some cousins. The suborbital spacecraft Spindrift encountered a cosmic anomaly and the ship was pulled through the anomaly and shunted to another part of the galaxy. The Spindrift landed on an alien world populated by giants.

Chipper was Barry Lockridge's pet dog and accompanied him on their voyage to Giant World. After their first encounter with the planet's giant human population, Chipper discovered that the canines of this world were equally huge. When a large dog terrorized the group, Chipper barked back, but Barry made sure that he was able to stay safely tucked away until the larger animal could be driven away. (The Crash)
