Biography[]

Barrani was an Egyptian male who lived in the city of Mezzara in the early 20th century. In the year 1920, he worked as a member of law-enforcement, holding the title of Chief Inspector. Barrani investigated a string of murders involving members of an archaeological dig that had unearthed the Tomb of Kah-to-Bey. Following the mysterious death of expedition leader Sir Basil Walden and later, photographer Harry Newton, Barrani asked the dig's financier Stanley Preston to remain in the city for further questioning. Stanley refused to do so, and his stubborness had ultimately cost him his life. It was revealed that the murders had been committed by an undead mummy named Prem - formerly a slave caretaker to Prince Kah-to-Bey. The mummy had been revived by a radical named Hasmid Ali and sent to kill members of the expedition. When Hasmid assisted the mummy in an attack against Egyptologist Paul Pretson, Inspector Barrani shot him in the back, killing him. [2]
