Bar-Nes is a fictional thief featured in comic books published by DC Comics. He is associated with the Superman line of titles of the Silver Age era and first appeared in the second story in Superman, Volume 1 #360 titled "Day Into Night -- Night Into Day!"
Biography[]
Bar-Nes was an adult male Kryptonian from the island nation of Bokos off the continent of Urrika in the Pre-Unification days of the planet Krypton. Once, while in the city-state of Erkol, he eavesdropped on the Ruling Council and learned about a recently discovered golden stone with great energy properties. Seeing an opportunity for profit, he returned to Bokos and alerted his friends. He told them that the stone was located atop the talletst structure in Erkol. His comrade, Ta-Tem told him to maintain surveillance on it.

- Bar-Nes is exclusive to the continuity of the Silver Age Earth-One environment. It is unknown whether he had a counterpart in modern continuity.
- The final fate of Bar-Nes is unknown. As he lived during the time of Pre-Unification on Krypton, he would have passed away of natural causes long before the planet's destruction.
