Babylon 5: The Gathering is an American made-for-TV movie of the science fiction subgenre. It is based on the PTEN/TNT sci-fi series Babylon 5, created by J. Michael Straczynski. It is the first of five such telefilms and serves as prequel to the series itself. The film stars Michael O'Hare, Jerry Doyle, Mira Furlan, Peter Jurasik, Andreas Katsulas and Patricia Tallman - all of whom are regular cast member on the series, though Tallman doesn't join the crew until the end of season two.
