The Axi-Tun are a fictional race of aliens featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. They first appeared in Giant-Size Fantastic Four #3 in November, 1974.

Description[]

The Axi-Tun were a humanoid race from the planet Tun. They were technologically advanced with space-faring capabilities. Some members of this race were explorers while others were conquerors.

History[]

Many years ago, four members of this race, Linbythoum, Krowtanem, Rowregyynac, and Yentron, became known scourges throughout the galaxy. Their reputation earned them the nickname, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They attempted to conquer Earth during the early dawn of man, but were repulsed by a race sympathetic to Earth's needs. Returning to Tun, their failure was seen as weakness and they were cast into exile.

In December, 1941, a ship containing four Axi-Tun space explorers crash-landed on Earth in Germany behind the Siegfried Line. They were Satorymho, Xepdgin, Frobbank, and MCM_XLI. They were discovered by the Nazi cyborg known as Brain Drain. Brain Drain used the Ring of the Nebulas to mind control these four and brainwashed them into believing that they were Teutonic Gods, Donar, Froh, Loga, and Brunnhilde the Vaylkyrie. These so-called Space-Gods came into conflict with the Allied forces superhero team, the Invaders. [1][2]

During the Modern Age of Heroes, the Four Horsemen of the Axi-Tun returned to Earth, believing that whatever threat that had defeated them in the past was now gone. They laid siege to New York City, but the city's resident heroes, the Fantastic Four, fought against them, ultimately banishing the Horsemen. [3] They were later captured and imprisoned by the Stranger.
