Axel, surname unknown, is a fictional prisoner and a minor recurring character featured in The Walking Dead multimedia franchise. The character first appeared in issue #13 of The Walking Dead comic book series by Image Comics. The character was adapted in The Walking Dead television series on AMC, where he was played by actor Lew Temple. On the TV series, Axel was introduced in the season three premiere, "Seed".
