DC Universe[]

Avia was a humanoid alien and a member of a race known as the New Gods. She was the wife of Highfather Izaya. Avia was killed by Steppenwolf while trying to protect her husband from being murdered by him. Upon her death, her spirit went to the Afterlife realm of Hadis.

Marvel Universe[]

Avia was a member of an extraterrestrial race known as the Inhumans. She was a young female with green skin and upsweeping green hair and had feathered wings. She was a council member on the Genetic Council on Attilan and was active during the "Secret Invasion" of the Skrull Empire. She met with members of the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

Originally, the DC Universe version of Avia was the mother of Scott Free, aka Mister Miracle. Scott's maternal parentage was retroactively changed to Vayla in later material.
