Notes & Trivia[]

  • This issue is a "Secret Wars II" crossover. The related narrative from this issue continues in Secret Wars II #5.
  • The incident that robbed the Skrulls of their shape-shifting abilities was the result of a hyperwave bombardment from an imperial power asteroid. This took place in Avengers Annual #14, which was released the same month as this issue.
  • Edwin Jarvis appears in the main story as well as in flashback to meeting the Beyonder for the first time.
  • Normally the curse of the Ebony Blade would take affect immediately after Dane Whitman accidentally stabs the Beyonder. However, the curse is activated by the drawing of blood. As the Beyonder is a cosmic being, he does not have a human bloodstream, and thus the injury cause no undue affects.
