Biography[]
Austin Sommers was an amateur playwright who sought to make a name for himself. Coming to Provincetown, Massachusetts, he found a writer named Belle Noir, who introduced him to the magical qualities of a black pill that enhanced his creative aptitudes. A side-effect of taking this pill was that it created an insatiable need to consume human blood, much like a vampire. It could also be argued that Austin Sommers's compassion for his fellow man waned as a result of taking the pill as well. Austin and Belle became partners and agents of The Chemist responsible for creating the pill.
