Zatanna - Atom 19

Hey, look kids! It's Zatanna!

  • The character of Ray Palmer was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Gil Kane. He first appeared in Showcase #34 in September-October, 1961 in a story called "Birth of the Atom!".
  • This issue carries the approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority.
  • This issue is reprinted in black and white in the Showcase Presents: The Atom, Volume 2
  • This issue includes a public service message comic strip featuring Superboy in "Happy Hobby Time!" It is published in cooperation with the National Social Welfare Assembly.
  • This issue includes a house ad for Green Lantern #37 (now on sale) and Hawkman #8, which goes on sale on April 15th, 1965.
