"Invasion of the Beetle Men" is an animated short featured on the Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure. It features the character of the Atom and is the first of three shorts spotlighting this character. The script for the episode was written by comic book legend George Kashdan. It originally aired in 1967.
Plot[]
In this episode, five green alien beetle people travel to Earth in a hollowed out meteor. As it crash lands, physicist Ray Palmer collects soil samples from the landing site and brings them back to Ivy University for analysis. The beetle men grow in size and attempt to conquer the world by destroying volumes of nuclear matter. Palmer has to change into the Atom to stop the invasion of the beetle-men!
