The Astounding She-Monster is an American independent film of the science fiction and horror genres. It was directed by Ronnie Ashcroft with a screenplay written by Frank Hall, based on a story treatment by Hall. It was produced by Hollywood International Pictures and premiered theatrically in the United States on April 10th, 1958. The film stars Robert Clarke as scientist Dick Cutler, along with Marilyn Harvey as the female lead, Margaret Chaffee. Playing the human antagonists of the film are Kenne Duncan as Nat Burdell, Ewing Brown as Brad Conley, and Jeanne Tatum as Esther Malone. The role of the She-Monster is played by actress Shirley Kilpatrick.
