"Twist and Shout" is the seventh episode of season three of the horror/comedy television series Ash vs Evil Dead, and the twenty-seventh episode of the series overall. The show is based on the cult classic 1981 film The Evil Dead, as well as its various sequels. It was directed by Mark Beesley with a script written by Caitlin Meares. It premiered on Starz on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 at 9:00 pm.

- The title of this episode is taken from the rock and roll song "Twist and Shout". It was recorded in 1961 by The Top Notes, and has been covered by many performers over the years. The best known versions were performed by the Isley Brothers in 1962 and by The Beatles in 1963.
- Scenes of Ash's doppelganger slaughtering students at a high school dance was inspired by the film Carrie, which was released in 1976 and was an adaptation of the 1974 novel of the same name by author Stephen King.
- Ash Williams tells Brandy Barr that this isn't the time to playing "Barbie Dress-Up". Barbie is a fashion doll manufactured by the American toy company Mattel, Inc. and launched in March 1959. American businesswoman Ruth Handler is credited with the creation of the doll using a German doll called Bild Lilli as her inspiration.
- Ash quotes the line, "Ding Dong, the Witch is dead", which is a lyric from a song taken from the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
- Ruby Knowby presents a dedication to Candace Barr and Rachel Manning in this episode. Candace was Brandy Barr's mother, and Rachel was her best friend. They were both killed in episode 3x01, "Family".
