"Home Again" is the title to the ninth episode of season two of the horror/comedy television series Ash vs Evil Dead, and the nineteenth episode of the series overall. The show is based on the cult classic 1981 film The Evil Dead, as well as its various sequels. The episode was directed by Rick Jacobson with a script written by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner. It premiered on Starz on Sunday, December 4th, 2016 at 9:00 pm.

- This episode is included on the Ash vs Evil Dead: The Complete Collection DVD boxset, which was distributed through Lions Gate Entertainment and released in Region 1 format on October 16th, 2018. - Henrietta Knowby first appeared in the 1987 film Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn. She was played by actress Lou Hancock. Actor Ted Raimi played the possessed Henrietta in the film.
- Professor Knowby's full name is Raymond Knowby. He first appeared in The Evil Dead as a voice on a tape recorder. He was voiced by Bob Dorian in the film. The character made a full visual appearance in flashback in Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn. He was played by actor John Peakes in the film.
- Alison Quigan is the third performer to portray Henrietta Knowby following Lou Hancock and Ted Raimi. Ted reprises the role of Possessed Henrietta, which he also performed in Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn.
Allusions[]
- There are several notable film posters that can be seen at the movie theater in the beginning of the episode including Poltergeist, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and Friday the 13th Part 3, all of which were released in 1982. There is also a poster for Stripes, released in 1981, and The Hills Have Eyes, which was released back in 1977.
- Ash Williams posits the idea of knowing the sports scores for the next thirty years, with the notion of profiting on these results by placing bets. This notion is a call-back to the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II, where Marty McFly entertained a similar notion, which was ultimately carried out by his rival Biff Tannen.
- Ash Williams makes an indirect reference to Army of Darkness, released in 1992. In the film, Ash traveled back in time to the Middle Ages.
- Ash Williams is seen drinking a can of Shemp's Beer in this episode. A "Shemp" is a term used to describe Deadites in The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn, credited in the films as "Fake Shemp". The name is derived from Shemp Howard, who was a member of the comedy troupe known as The Three Stooges.
- The incantation that Ruby Knowby speaks aloud from reading Pablo Simon Bolivar's chest is actually taken from a funeral song performed by Lucy Lawless on Xena: Warrior Princess.
- A photograph of Annie Knowby can be seen on Professor Knowby's desk in the Knowby cabin. Annie Knowby was a central character in Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and was played by actress Sarah Berry.
- The scene of Ash Williams drinking boiling water to rid the demonic essence from his system is a call-back to a similar scene from Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn.
- Ruby Knowby makes an indirect reference to Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn when Ash's sister, Cheryl Williams, was sexually assaulted by a demonically possessed tree branch.
