Ashley J. "Ash" Williams is a fictional home improvement clerk and former college student and the main character featured in the Evil Dead film series by Renaissance Pictures and New Line Cinema. He was played by actor Bruce Campbell.
Biography[]
Hometown Hero[]
After defeating Baal, the people of Elk Grove learned the truth about the existence of the Evil Dead, and also learned that Ash was innocent of the murders they had believed that he had committed. During a public speech, Ash reminded the people of Elk Grove about how they had been "assholes" to him, but also vowed that he would stand every-ready should the forces of evil dare to show its face again. Ash continued to ride his newly acquired celebrity hero status, and re-opened his late father's hardware business as Ashy Slashy's Hardware & Sex Emporium. He diversified its product to include not only hardware supplies, but adult toys as well. Ash performed in his own commercials for the shop, taking ownership of the formerly negative nickname "Ashy Slashy", and marketed it as a term used to describe slashing prices. [7]
