Asano Kimura is a fictional secret agent and a minor character featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and first appeared in Wolverine, Volume 1 #1 in September, 1982. He also appeared in Wolverine, Volume 1 #3, which was the character's final appearance.
Overview[]
Asano Kimura was a Japanese secret agent and an old friend and colleague of Wolverine. He contacted Wolverine when things became complicated concerning Lord Shingen Harada and his takeover of the Japanese underworld; particularly his control over the ninja assassin group known as The Hand as well as his influence with Clan Yashida. When Asano realized that his people could not topple The Hand by themselves, he asked Wolverine for help. He was killed by Yukio, who was being manipulated by Shingen Harada. Wolverine found him with one of her throwing spikes lodged in his neck.
