"Vertigo" is the twelfth episode of season one of the superhero action series Arrow. It was directed by Wendey Stanzler and written by Wendy Mericle and Ben Sokolowski. It first aired on the CW Network on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013.
In this episode, Thea Queen goes to court on a DUI charge. The judge has no leniency towards her and wants to make an example of the Queen family. Oliver decides to go after the source of the Vertigo drug. After consulting with vice squad officer McKenna Hall, he learns about a mysterious underworld figure known as the Count. Ollie decides to go under cover as an interested buyer and meets with the Count.

- First appearance of The Count. He is based on the DC Comics character Count Vertigo, who is a recurring foe of Green Arrow. In this series, Vertigo is the name of the narcotic that the Count sells. In the comics, Count Vertigo had a super-power which simulated the effects of the drug shown in this episode.
- First appearance of McKenna Hall. This character is unique to the continuity of the Arrow television series and does not have a DC Comics counterpart. She appears next in "Dodger".
- Actress Janina Gavankar has previously worked with actor Paul Blackthorne on the ABC series The Gates. Gavankar played a law enforcement officer in that series as well, named Leigh Turner. Blackthorne played an opportunistic vampire antagonist named Christian Harper.
- This is the second appearance of Alexi Leonov. He appeared last in "Lone Gunmen".
