- "Brother Eye" is based on a concept featured in DC Comics titles. It was originally conceived b artist/writer Jack Kirby and appeared in the futuristic stories of the O.M.A.C. comic book series. A modernized interpretation of Brother Eye was developed by [[Bruce Wayne] and was responsible for the creation of the OMAC sentinels.
- The physicality of Felicity Smoak's Goth look is reminiscent of another DC Comics character, Death of the Endless, who has jet-black hair, and wears an Ankh necklace.
