- Aquaman was created by writer Mort Weisinger and artist Paul Norris. He first appeared in the seventh story in More Fun Comics #73 in November, 1941 titled "The Submarine Strikes". The original Aquaman was a human who was an Olympic-level swimmer during the Golden Age era. It wasn't until the "Aquaman's Undersea Partner" story from Adventure Comics #229 in October, 1956 that he developed his aquatic Atlantean heritage.

- This issue shipped with a variant cover illustrated by Joshua Middleton.
- This issue went to second printing in September, 2016. The second printing cover is the same as the first printing cover by the "Rebirth" banner and DC Comics logo are colored red rather than blue.
