Aquaman: The Becoming is an American comic book limited series of the superhero fantasy genre. It is part of the Aquaman line of titles and was published by DC Comics from November, 2021 to April, 2022. The series features the character of Jackson Hyde in the role of Aquaman. The book was written by Brandon Thomas with artwork by Diego Olortegui & Scott Koblish and inks by Wade von Grawbadger. It was colored by Adriano Lucas & Alex Guimarães with lettering by AndWorld Design. The series was edited by Andrea Shea with Mike Cotton as senior editor, and Marquis Draper as assistant editor.

- Aquaman was created by writer Mort Weisinger and artist Paul Norris. He first appeared in the seventh story in More Fun Comics #73 in November, 1941 titled "The Submarine Strikes". The original Aquaman was a human who was an Olympic-level swimmer during the Golden Age era. It wasn't until the "Aquaman's Undersea Partner" story from Adventure Comics #229 in October, 1956 that he developed his aquatic Atlantean heritage.
