Points of Interest[]
- Darkseid's palace
- Darkseid's palace is not so much a palace as it is a castle fortress. It is the most heavily fortified structure found on the planet Apokolips. It is the home of Darkseid and is where he usually enjoys taking long baths, sipping margaritas, playing Call of Duty and binge watching episodes of Downton Abbey. It is also where his most trusted followers, Darkseid's Elite, are known to spend a large measure of their time. The fortress itself is routinely guarded by various henchmen, robotic sentries, and of course, Parademons. Lots and lots of Parademons.
- Fire Pits
- The Fire Pits of Apokolips were massive apertures that dotted the entirety of the planet. They were thermal exhaust ports that belched giant plumes of flame and smoke. In districts such as Armagetto, the Hunger Dogs were tasked with stoking the flames of the Fire Pits.
- Granny Goodness' Orphanage
- The orphanage is located on the planet of Apokolips and is run by a merciless taskmaster named Granny Goodness. In addition to being an orphanage, the facility is actually a training center, where Granny indoctrinates the children of Apokolips into become battle-hardened combat ready warriors. The cream of Granny's crop, is a cadre of warrior women known as the Female Furies. The New Genesis being later known as Scott Free, aka Mister Miracle, was raised in Granny's orphanage, but ultimately escaped, taking with him a defector from the Furies named Big Barda.
