"Aphrodite IX" is the untitled story to the first issue of the Aphrodite IX comic book limited series, which was published by Top Cow Productions - an imprint of Image Comics. The story was written by David Wohl with interior pencil artwork by David Finch. The issue was inked by Joe B. Weems, V and Victor Llamas with embellishment assists by Marco Galli and Annie Skiles. It was colored by Steve Firchow and lettered by Robin Spehar and Dennis Heisler of Dreamer Design. The cover art for the standard first printing release of this issue was composed by David Finch, with Joe Weems on inks and colors by Steve Firchow. The story was edited by Renae Geerlings with Jason Ross as assistant editor. This issue shipped with a September, 2000 cover date and carried a cover price of $2.50 per copy (US).

What happens when Aphrodite IX, the deadliest and most powerful mercenary/assassin, can't remember anything about herself, what she's been doing, or who's hunting her, and, worst of all, the one man who can tell her all this information is nowhere to be found??? TROUBLE-- THAT'S WHAT!!!
