The Ape Broadcasting System, or ABS, is a television broadcasting network found on the far-distant future of Earth when it was colloquially referred to be its dominant residents as the "Planet of the Apes".
One of its known news broadcasters was Dick Hutley - an orangutan with a mustache. delivered news about an alleged space craft that crash-landed in a lagoon within the Forbidden Zone. According to witness testimony, relayed by Hutley, the space vessel contained intelligent humanoids. The broadcast of this report sparked immediate concern and the Lawgiver convened an emergency session of the Simian Supreme Council to discuss strategy. [1]
