Biography[]
Anthony Ludgate was a practicing psychiatrist who sought to learn the secrets behind the mystic arts. He received a summons from a Tibetan lama and traveled to the Far East to see what he could learn. After passing through a series of trials, the lama, who was in fact the Ancient One, bequeathed Anthony Ludgate mystic powers and dubbed him Doctor Droom. [1]
Doctor Droom traveled to the town of Greenbirch at the behest of local police to investigate the disappearance of several residences. His investigation brought him to the home of a man named Mister Smith, who was in fact an alien being named Krogg. Krogg had used his advanced technology to miniaturize a group of houses. After exposing Krogg's schemes, the alien teleported away, leaving behind his equipment. Doctor Droom used it to return the houses to normal size. [2]
