Ant-Man and the Wasp is an American feature film of the action, science fiction, comedy and superhero fantasy genres. It is based on the character of Ant-Man as seen in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. It is the twentieth film in the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe and is a sequel to the 2015 movie Ant-Man. It is the third film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe released in the same year, and follows the releases of Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War. The movie was directed by Peyton Reed with a screenplay written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, and Paul Rudd who co-stars in the film as one of the main characters, Scott Lang. The movie also stars Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. The film was produced by Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Productions and released theatrically in the United States on July 6th, 2018.
