Annie was the housemaid for the wealthy Wheeler family of Hackensack, New Jersey, which included Logan Wheeler, his wife Bree, and teenage son, Junior. Junior's cousin, Jake Wheeler, came to live with them after the untimely demise of his father, Lucas. Jake had a Good Guys doll named Chucky, which was possessed by the spirit of deceased serial killer Charles Lee Ray. On October 31st, 2021, Annie was placing dishware into the dishwasher. One of the larger knives was sticking blade-up and somebody came up behind her and pushed her face down onto it, stabbing her to death. Chucky was the perpetrator of the crime, and although it was ruled as an accident by Detective Kim Evans, people began to suspect that Jake may have murdered her. Annie's jealous friends derided her for dating an Avenger. On their last encounter, Noh-Varr took Annie to the op of a building to sadly inform her that he was leaving Earth. (Avengers Vol 4 26)
