The Animox is a fictional item featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Wonder Woman line of titles and first appeared in Wonder Woman, Volume 1 #115 in July, 1960.
History[]
In the early days of his criminal career, Angelo Bend, the Angle Man, invented the Animox, which was a device that could animate inanimate objects. He demonstrated the devices capabilities or a group of mobsters by turning a Gangland chief's cigar into a club that began whacking him upon the head.
Angle Man then used the Animox to animate the figureheads of a bunch of sunken ships and had them attack Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor.
Properties[]
- Animate objects: The Animox could animate simple objects, which could perform simple functions based upon the will of the user. For example, Angle Man turned the dragon-shaped figurehead of a sunken vessel into a flying monster with claws that attacked Wonder Woman.
