"The Prodigal" is the fifteenth episode of season one of the vampire television series Angel. It was directed by Bruce Seth Green and written by Tim Minear. The episode first aired on the WB Network on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2000. In this episode, Angel investigates a drug-running cartel engineered by demons and finds that Kate's father, Trevor Lockley, is involved in some shady dealings with them. This prompts Angel to reflect upon his past and his relationship with his own father.
