"Only Human" is the third issue of the Angel: Only Human comic book series published by IDW Publishing. The series is based on the Angel television series, which aired on the WB Network from 1999-2004. This five-issue mini-series spotlights the characters of Charles Gunn and Illyria. The story was written by Scott Lobdell with artwork and cover illustration by David Messina. It was inked by Gaetano Carlucci. Coloring was provided by Ilaria Traversi with Andrea Priorini as a coloring assistant. It was lettered by Neil Uyetake and edited by Mariah Huehner and Chris Ryall. This issue shipped with an October, 2009 cover date and carries a cover price of $3.99 per copy (US).

  • Charles' grandmother, Helen Gunn, is referenced only in this issue. Flashback scenes from this story take place in Helen Gunn's kitchen, which is where Charles encountered his first vampire.
  • This is the second appearance of Baticus, who is an Old One that takes the form of a giant worm. He appeared last in Angel: Only Human #2.
  • This is the first and only appearance of Winter, who is a police officer turned into a vampire in this issue.
