The Andromeda Ascendant is a fictional starship and the primary vessel featured in the science fiction television series Andromeda. The ship appeared in all 110 episodes.
Description[]
The Andromeda Ascendant is a Glorious Heritage-class heavy cruiser used by the High Guard of the Systems Commonwealth. The XMC-class cruisers are specially designed for interplanetary combat and are known for their high endurance and weapons capabilities. The interior of the ship contained a massive bridge and spacious compartments amongst its fifty decks, which was ideal for conducting refugee support operations and disaster relief. During peacetime, the Andromeda was used for diplomatic missions and exploratory travel, often initiating First Contact protocols with unknown alien races. [1]
