Andromeda is a joint Canadian/American science fiction television series that aired on the Global Television Network and the Sci-Fi Channel from October of 2000 to May of 2005 spanning five seasons (22 episodes per season) for a total of 110 episodes. The series was originally conceived by the late Gene Roddenberry, better known as the creator of the Star Trek franchise.

Season five of Andromeda aired from September 24th, 2004 to May 13th, 2005. Original series cast members, Kevin Sorbo, Lisa Ryder, Gordon Michael Woolvett, Laura Bertram, Steve Bacic and Lexa Doig all returned for the fifth and final season of the show, reprising their respective roles. Season five saw the introduction of Doyle, a robot character played by Brandy Ledford, who was initially brought in as a supporting character with "Phear Phactor Phenom", but soon became a part of the regular cast lineup.
