Ben Grimm makes reference to Bill Clinton and his fondness for cheeseburgers. Bill Clinton was forty-second President of the United States for two terms from 1993 to 2001. The cheeseburger reference stems from a story from July, 1992 when Clinton was still a presidential candidate. He and future Vice President Al Gore were seen stopping at a McDonalds for fast food during a morning jog. The photographed even earned media attention.
In "Street Fear", reference is made to when Jane Lane was crippled by a stray bullet during a gang war. This took place in the "Steel Spider, Street Justice" story from Spider-Man Unlimited #5 in May, 1994.
