- This issue includes a Marvel Masterwork pin-up page of Spider-Man illustrated by Steve Ditko.
- This is the second appearance of Abner Jenkins as the Beetle. It is the first time he has fought Spider-Man. The Beetle appeared last in the first story from Strange Tales #123 titled, "The Birth of the Beetle!". He appears next in the "Bedlam at the Baxter Building!" story from Fantastic Four Annual #3.
