Alvin Barnes is a fictional soldier and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is associated with the Iron Man line of titles and made a single appearance in Iron Man #230 in May, 1988 in a story titled "Stark Wars, Chapter 6: The Day the Hero Died".
Biography[]
Alvin Barnes was a member of the United States Army holding the rank of private. At the age of eighteen, he was stationed at a military bunker in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was present when the government-sponsored armored agent known as Firepower engaged in aerial combat with Iron Man. Barnes had idolized Iron Man ever since he was a child, but on this day, he had to stand by in stark astonishment as Firepower seemingly finished off the Armored Avenger for good when he targeted him with a Terminax missile. Fortunately, Iron Man survived the encounter. [1]
