Almeracians are a race of fictional extraterrestrials featured in comic books published by DC Comics. They are associated with the Superman and Justice League line of titles and first appeared in Action Comics #645 in September, 1989. They are usually represented through the character of Maxima.
Description[]
Almeracians are a humanoid race that hail from the planet Almerac, which is part of the greater Almeracian Empire. They possess superhuman abilities, which sets them apart from other races. These powers are a result of generations of selective breeding and gene therapy. The queen of Almerac, later Empress, was Maxima, up until the time of her death.
