All-Star Superman is an American feature-length animated movie of the superhero fantasy genre. It is based on the character of Superman as seen in comic books published by DC Comics. The title of the film takes its name from the All Star Superman comic series, which ran from 2006-2008. The movie was directed by Sam Liu with a script written by Dwayne McDuffie. It was produced by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation and released direct-to-video on February 22nd, 2011.
