"Aliens vs. Predator" is the otherwise untitled special zero issue of the Aliens vs. Predator comic book limited series published by Dark Horse Comics. It was written by Randy Stradley with artwork by Phill Norwood and inks by Karl Story. It was lettered by Pat Brosseau and edited by Diana Schutz. This issue shipped with a July, 1990 cover date and carries a cover price of $1.95 per copy (US).

"Aliens vs. Predator"[]

The Aliens franchise was created by director Ridley Scott and screenplay writer Dan O'Bannon. It was first brought to life in the 1979 sci-fi/horror movie Alien, which spawned multiple sequels, prequels, and crossover films. Other notable directors in the franchise include James Cameron, David Fincher, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, and Paul W.S. Anderson.
The Predator was created by director John McTiernan and screenplay writers Jim Thomas and John Thomas. They were introduced as an unidentified alien species in the 1987 sci-fi/action feature film Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. This film spawned several sequels as well as crossover films with the Aliens film series. Dark Horse Comics acquired the license to produce Predator comic book titles, beginning with the first four-issue limited series, Predator in 1989.

This issue was originally published in Dark Horse Presents #34 in November, 1989, Dark Horse Presents #35 in December, 1989 and Dark Horse Presents #36 in February, 1990.
This issue was released following Aliens vs. Predator #1.
Artist Phillip Norwood is credited as Phill Norwood in this issue.
This issue includes a pin-up of a Xenomorph facing off with a Yautja by artist Mike Mignola. This was originally intended as a cover art design, but was rejected.
Although Tom and Scott provide the narrative for this issue, neither character is fully seen.
