Alien³ is an American feature film blending elements of the science fiction and horror genres. It is the third film in the Aliens film series and immediately follows the events of 1986's Aliens. The film was directed by David Fincher with a script written by David Giler, Walter Hill and Larry Ferguson, based on a story treatment by Vincent Ward. It was produced by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation and Brandywine Productions and premiered in the United States on May 22nd, 1992.

- Principal filming on Alien³ began on January 14th, 1991 and concluded on May 17th, 1991.
- This is the first professional film work for director David Fincher.
- Another tagline for the film was "The Bitch is Back". This is a reference to the popular line from Aliens spoken by Sigourney Weaver to the alien queen wherein she screamed, "Get away from her, you bitch!"
