Alice's grandmother is a fictional murder victim and a minor character featured in the Child's Play film series. Portrayed by an unknown actress, she makes a brief appearance at the end of the 2013 film Curse of Chucky.
Biography[]
Almost nothing is known about this woman save that she is Alice's paternal grandmother, which would make her Ian's mother. Sometime following the death of her son and daughter-in-law, the woman took granddaughter Alice into her home. The supernaturally possessed killer doll known as Chucky, who was responsible for Ian's and wife Barbara's death, appeared in her home. His purpose was to take spiritual possession of Alice. During this affair, Alice's grandmother had a plastic bag wrapped around her head, which suffocated her.
Notes & Trivia[]
- In all likelihood, Chucky is the one responsible for this woman's death. However, as Chucky was also conspiring with Tiffany Valentine during this time, it could just as easily have been her. Given the context clues of the scene however, this database is going to categorize her as a Chucky victim.
- The Child's Play crew are known for giving winks and nods to other famous horror movies. As such, it should be noted that the single shot we see of Alice's grandmother is reminiscent of that of Clare Harrison from the 1974 holiday horror Black Christmas, who is also killed by being suffocated with a plastic bag.
- It's weird to think that this woman didn't attempt to poke a hole in the bag so she could breathe. But given that her son was willing to just lay there and let Chucky hack his jaw off, I guess we know where he gets it from. No sense of self-preservation from this side of the family, I guess.
