Alfred Pennyworth is a middle-aged man of English heritage. He works as the butler to Bruce Wayne at stately Wayne Manor, just outside of Gotham City. Alfred is aware of Bruce's dual identity as the Batman, and often assists him in his various adventures, usually from within the relative safety of the Batcave.
