Alexyev Kamanev is a fictional politician and a minor character featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is associated with the X-Men line of titles and first appeared in the "Firestorm" story from X-Men #2 in November, 1991.
Biography[]
Alexyev Kamanev was a citizen of the Soviet Union and served as Russia's ambassador to the United Nations. He was present during a missile crisis perpetuated by the mutant known as Magneto and listed everything that had happened in the preceding moments following the explosion in the upper atmosphere of a nuclear missile by Magneto. During a meeting of the Security Council he said that if they had not implemented the Magneto Protocols, the Soviet Union would have made the decision itself.
