Alexandria is a city in the U.S. state of Virginia. Alexandria played a key role in season five of the AMC survival horror series The Walking Dead. This was the location of the Alexandria Safe-Zone, which was a community haven that Rick Grimes and his group of fellow survivors took shelter at.

Alexandria sewer system: The Alexandria sewer system ran beneath the streets of Alexandria, Virginia. During the Savior war, the Saviors attacked Alexandria. Carl Grimes moved supplies through the entrance to the sewers, and it became an escape route for residents to flee as the Saviors set the town afire. It was during this time that Carl noticed a fatal bite mark on his side that he acquired during an earlier incident. Years later, Daryl Dixon and Connie use the sewer system to sneak back into Alexandria after it had been taken over by the Commonwealth. They had to kill several walkers before finding a manhole cover that they could exit through.

Outpost 22: Outpost was a prisoner labor camp and part of the Alexandria Processing Center. It was based out of Alexandria, Virginia in the area formerly known as the Alexandria Safe-Zone. The Safe-Zone was re-branded as Outpost 22 after it had been take over by the Commonwealth.
