Albert Wesker is a fictional law-enforcement officer and an antagonist featured in the Resident Evil multimedia franchise. He first appeared in the original Resident Evil video game by Capcom in 1996. The character also appeared in the 2007 feature film Resident Evil: Extinction, where he was played by actor Jason O'Mara. With 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution, the role was played by actor Shawn Roberts. Roberts reprised the role of Albert Wesker for the 2016 feature film Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Albert Wesker was also one of the main characters on the Resident Evil streaming series on Netflix. He was played by actor Lance Reddick in the series.
