Al Grubb is a fictional character featured in the Locke & Key line of comic book titles published by IDW Publishing. He first appeared in Locke & Key #1, published in February, 2008.
Biography[]
Al Grubb was a friend of Sam Lesser's, and accompanied him to the Locke residence in Willits, California, as part of a scheme to murder Rendell & Nina Locke. Sam succeeded in killing Rendell, as their children scrambled to defend themselves. While Sam was searching the property for the kids, Al raped Rendell's wife, Nina. After he was done, Nina came up behind Al Grubb with an axe, and buried it in the back of his skull, killing him.
